Sport mode
I have a 2000 s-type 4.0
Have transmission slippage and told I have to replace the transmission - will do that when I can. However, when it gets really bad, I can put the car in sports mode and it drives no problem. But is there a limit to how fast I can drive it when I get to 4th?
Thanks

Hi jane,
From a layman's perspective I would recommend going easy until you get the transmission replaced. Try to stay at around the posted speed limit. The engine should be no problem but you don't know when the transmission might let go. I would also get with a technician on what you can do safely before you replace the transmission. I'm assuming you are operating on the premise the transmission is a goner and will be replaced vs being rebuilt.
