Default STR Front Upper Control Arms - Correct Part?

Well the suspension woes of a 12 year old car keep coming, whomever buys it after me is going to be all set

I am getting a bit of steering wheels shake at 65-75 and can definitely tell its related to the control arms. I have new tires, front brakes, new front shocks, but the tech let me know the bushings are beat about a year ago. Looks like they finally gave way this month and now there is not much left but crunched rubber. I will definitely get it checked out by my suspension guy to be sure, but in the mean time I need help confirming a part will work.

I have been dreading this day because of the price for oem front upper control arms, but today might be my lucky day. The Lemfoerder ones look like they can work, but would appreciate a quick confirmation:

03 2003 Jaguar S Type Control Arm - Suspension - Genuine, Lemfoerder, MTC, Front Left Upper, Front Right Lower Rearward, Front Right Upper, Rear Left Upper, Rear Right Upper - PartsGeek

I have used their parts in the past and am very happy, so I wouldnt hesitate to do it again. For reference, here is the Gaudin part link and price (ouch!):

2004 Jaguar S-Type Parts - Direct JPLV Porsche Parts.com

So obviously there is a $500 savings, so I want to be sure I am all set with the Lemfoerders. Thanks

They sure look right and the JEPC shows the same part is used across the entire S Type line. So no special STR upper arm.

In fact they look identical to the Lincoln LS ones I replaced in my 2003 LS!
Looks like they are the same at least up thru VINM45255. After that it's still unconfirmed.

Default Just replace the bushings

My ball joint was still good so I got a set on ebay and had them pressed in on both sides. So far so good. It cost 40 bucks to have them presses in!

I am confused? The control arms do not press in and you have 2005 which does not have aftermarket ball joints available so you can't press them in either?

Thx for the replies.

I thinks he means the bushings on the sides can be pressed in, but he ball joint cannot and the ball joint is the issue on my car, thus need to buy the whole unit.

Let us know if it helps. Almost all cars at this point in time will have bad rubber boots on the top control arms front and back. Go take a look if you don't believe me. It is interesting to compare my LS to my STR. The Jaguar stuff does seem to hold up better even though most of it will interchange.

I have found that the driver’s side front control arm back nut on the bushing was next to impossible to remove because of limited access.

Getting the bolt in and the nut started on the new one was no picnic either!
