Default Is STR supercharger belt slipping?

Today I noticed a loud whistling (like someone blowing through a whistle) sound during moderate to hard acceleration. Opened the hood and got a wiff of a burnt rubber smell. My first thought is supercharger belt slippage. Any thoughts as to the production of the whistling sound and availability of a supercharger belt. If new belt is in order then this may also usher in a 1.5 pulley.

Sudden loss of acceleration when shifting gears is how I've always identified SC belt slippage. I really have never known smells to eliminate from a slipped belt.

Try to drive hard, then sniff around like a bloodhound to locate exactly where the small is coming from.

Hi Chris, No power loss but now feel it's the belt pulley whistling away. When she's cold the pulley always squeeled. Now it may be time to replace her with updated version. The loud wheeling/shrieking sound only happens when under hard acceleration and kicking down under hard acceleration. Had to smoke a 2007 Acura TL-S at 70 mph. Kicked her down at 70 mph and smoked the Acura whilst whistling away. Having the mechanic check her out today. Thanks.
