Hi to all those "R" type owners, Happy Fathers Day! My question is, "How loud is the whine of your supercharger, when do you notice it the most and the least"? I have about 92,000 on my 05 and notice it somewhat in the early rpm's then constantly at around 79mph and above. Just seems to have gotten louder or I may not have been paying that much attention to it in the past...

 

Don't hear it at all till I accelerate hard and then only briefly before I hear sirens and see flashing lights.

 

I hear it nearly constantly whenever I touch the throttle; but with my mods that's not uncommon. When it was stock, I'd hear it more at lower rpms than higher, but I could always detect the sound.

 

Ditto to Quartz...., pop on a qwiketz modded air intake tube, etc. and your question regarding whether one hears the blower whine becomes redundant.

 

I'm a whine-o. Can't get enough!

 

I'd love to seal my blowers silencer ports for louder whine...

 

^ X2 - that would be good. More the better. Most intoxicating when you floor it at moderate speed and get a good 2 gear kick down - can hear it real good before you get to higher speed and get more wind/tire noise in the mix.
