Take a LOOK at this abomination...
While they say a K&N filter will never need changing, the catch is the recharge kit, which costs as much as a standard filter for most cars anyway.
If you use the recharge kit correctly you can get more then one cleaning from it. I've cleaned my last K&N about 4 times with one recharge kit and I think I'm about due for another recharge kit.
Yup... The recharge kits will last quite a few cleanings. Interesting thing is AEM now makes a washable "dry" filter for use in their intake kits. Those are real nice! No oil worries either! (had on on the Honda, and now on the 300).
