I have a 2003 STR that exhibits a ticking sound from the driver's side of the engine under hard acceleration. The sound appears to be worse and sets in at lower RPMs when the engine is cool. Once up to temp it only appears high in the RPM range and only under load. It is also quieter once up to operating temp, but never goes away completely.
