Default Time to say farewell to all of you.............

Ok guys its official my S type R is on the market. I had a hell of a run modding the crap out of it for fun and enjoyed every bit of it sharing it with my fellow friends on here . Lately I'm just not having enough time to drive this beast due to out of state work etc... and I hate to just have it sit around being neglected. I thought about shipping it to Michigan where I work mostly, but then just resorted to leave it in Sunny Florida at my parents place whenever I come down I will drive it around etc...

So its time for a new owner and I have uploaded pics and youtube vids to get as much attention as possible lolz....but anyhow I will miss you all on here, till who knows one day I will buy a XF R and come back to this forum. I wish you guys well and if anyone of you knows someone looking for a s type R in great condition head em my way please
Happy Trails!

Not a good thing to do at any time.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

You will be back, taht is a certainty.

Michigan - I'd have been considering giving up work before giving up the S-Type in sunny Florida.

There's bound to be another Jaguar in your future. No need to be a stranger on the forum in the meantime.

Welp, you ranked up there holding onto your STR for what over 5+ years, congrats! Oddly enough, I searched out an old thread yesterday morning for a noob here and it had a post or 2 by you, I thought to myself hmm, whatever happened to jag79. I know weird.......

I am with Graham, sunny Fl. for Mishitgan.... Well when you sell the STR and feel the need for speed there is always snowmobiling!!!!! When people pop up looking for an STR I will guide them to your ad (needs a starting price, btw).

Good luck to you and Happy Trails!

Thank you for all the years of positive input here!

LOLz...ohhh the good old days when I was a NOOB! This forum is a gold mine for any Jaguar owner and I learned a lot of DIY from here alone. Thanks for all the words of encouragement and help throughout the years to you and all the veteran members and MODS.

Do you remember the Need for Speed clan back in the day of?? "Mafioso, Bfsgross, Michael Star, Pushing_Tin, ttowtees, who can not forget "Riski" R.I.P, Enthusiast, qwiketz, ChrisSTR, good old Vance580, qikcat, Nixx, Under Pressure, Bacardi 151 and me Jag79". I'm sure I left out some more members plz forgive me....

We all did our best to push the limits of these S type R's to pump out as much HP as possible, some members have passed away from that group and one by one they went their own ways from here. I guess if I'm not mistaken I'm the last of that group to leave this forum, I reached out to the ones I was close to on here without no luck. It was a great run we all had here while it lasted. Be safe out there and know your limits!

Hey thanks! The speakers are 2 10" subwoofers I believe they are JBL JL Audio 10W1v3-4 W1v3 Series 10" 4-ohm subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

If you waited a little longer you could have bought my 03 s type r!

What are you asking for it? I only paid $6,000 for mine with 120k on it. Did the two 10's require special mounting hardware?

You got a good deal for what you bought it for in that condition. I'm asking $10k, with all thats done to it, basically this jag runs like brand new. I had replaced the complete transmission plus rear differential with a low mileage "S type R" trans and differential. When the independent Jag shop installed the new Eurotoys 1.5lb supercharger pulley they replaced the DCCV,belts, and thermostat.

Its best to have the sub installation done at a professional stereo place. I didn't mess around with that and the installation of the Alpine Amp like you see in the pic.

Cheers!

Good luck to you, Jag79; Hate to see you go, but a man's gotta do....

I give you this though: 10-12 years ago, I had the "fantastic opportunity!!!" to relocate to fabulous Troy, MI with a significant promotion. I'm proud to say I didn't squander very much of my life on the analysis of the offer. In fact, I'll run through it again right here: "Let's see, it is currently about a 15 min drive to Paradise(TX) and 20+ hours' drive to Hell(MI). If I take this, I'll be 30 or so minutes North of Hell and 20+ hours from Paradise."
Nuff said, case closed. "But wait!!! You could start paying state and local income taxes if you move!"
"Yeah...... no, still not sold...."

Hope you get a great price for your STR. Great STR specimens are indeed becoming rarer and rarer with each passing year....

Get a good price for it, and pick up a different "R" (like a XF-R...or even a XK-R). From a selfish point of view, no one wants to lose the benefit of your experiences.

Good Luck!
