Tire Recommedations.
I'm sure this has been asked before, although I did a search and couldn't find an answer to my question. What tires would you recommend for an 07 Jaguar S type 3.0.
I'm 70 yrs old so don't plan on racing either legally or illegally. I probably drive 5-7K a yr. I live in Maryland we get the occasional snow. But I'll drive my other car.
The tires on the Jag now are Hankook have plenty of tread but are starting to dry rot. Would appreciate any suggestions.

I'd suggest Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I've had 2 sets on my S-Type R for about 7 years and for grip, wet or snow, and longevity they are terrific.
93% rating on the tire rack site. Should be about $180 each.
BTW I'll be 70 in 4 months. Old farts must stick together.

I'm a fan of the Michelin Premier: Smooth, quiet ride and great wet-traction. Fit a set to my XJ early in their introduction that were really a load-range shy - plenty of margin to handle the weight of the car, but 95 load rating vice the 98 OE Spec but at the time they did not offer the proper size, so i had to go taller or shorter. I chose shorter for the increased acceleration, and just didn't want an oversize tire. Anyway, one of the 3.0L S-types was home from school and needing tires a bit later, by which time the proper spec for the XJ had been introduced. So I bought the proper size for it and had the under-size transferred to the S-type. Have since acquired another set for another one of the XJ's. I've also run Michelin Primacy's on both of those cars - fine, and plenty of tread-depth left at their 60K life-rating...but even with lots of tread, once they hit 60K, they were borderline dangerous on wet roads.
Very happy with the set of Continental Pure Contact 235/50/R17 tires I put on my 2005 S-Type 3.0 in late October 2015. Quiet, great wet-weather grip, affordable, and a 70,000-mile treadwear warranty....
