Tire Replacement
My used '03 has 225x55x16 and I can replce them with 225x60x16 for about half the price of the "55's. I ran it through a size comparison program and the only difference it showed was speedometer raeding of 70 MPH when actual speed is 72.2 MPH. Any other draw backs? I have got to get rid of the noisey tires that came on it even though they still have a lot of rubber. Don R

Check that the load rating is equivalent. I have no idea if there are fitment issues. You can check overall measurements on www.tirerack.com.
Here's another idea for you. Check with a local place that does racing tires work. Specifically ask if they shave tires. It's done to street/competition tires so that they grip better and don't over heat with the stock taller tread. You only want them shaved to true them up again. It might work. I have had a set of noisey tires shaved slightly, re-balanced and that got rid of my noise and vibration issues. You can't do it with faulty or badly worn tires. But with wear it will eventually come back.
