Hi all,
My first post I bought my S Type last june which is a 2003. A little while after I bought it the tranny seemed like it was slipping in speeds less than 35 MPH. When I come to a stop it lunges forward, I got a warranty on it, any ideas on what can be causing this?

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to the club. You've got the lurch. About half of us do. Take it to your dealer, tell them it has the lurch, and they will re-flash your transmission's computer system....should help a lot. Doesn't always go away though.

And your tranny may not be slipping...it is probably related to the software.

 

After you get that reflash... make sure to stay off sports mode for about 500 miles to allow transmission to lower pressures.

200 is fine, no sports, its relearning your driving style and the more aggressive, the more it learns this...ups pressures and gives a more aggressive shifting, of which can creat a lurch and or harsh engagement
