Turbo Build
Well I have been planning a turbo build for the Jag. I know you are like whatever blah, blah, blah. Anyways. The powerplant of course is the V6 3.0L which we all know its Ford's 3.0 Duratec with some upper motor mods.
Thing I figured out:
First Question: Is the stock internals able to handle more power? The answer is yes the have rated the 3.0 Duratec at 400bhp if looking for more power you can change the piston, rod and rings since the rest can handle more. I believe Noble has rated the Duratec at 550bhp with the internals swap.
Second Question: Fuel Management. According to some Ford Techs I been speaking with the 90mm MAF part # 1L3F-12B579-AB would work in the replacement of the current and some 60lb Ford injectors with a 255 Walbro Fuel pump. Still haven't figured out anything on the fuel rail yet.
Third Question: Tranny: According to some sources on this site the tranny that is on the V6 is also on the S-type R. So that being the case I believe it can handle more power. If need be Level 10 offers an upgrade package here is the link for that.

Things I haven't figured out.
Turbos - Still don't know if I should choose a twin turbo set up for the bling factor or a larger single turbo for pricing and power.
Engine Manegement system - Still don't know which engine management system is better for this set up. I spoke with some guys from contour.org that have a lot of experience with boosting 3.0 duratec and also at newcougar.org.
Now I know there a lot of factors have not being considered yet and like I said I in the planning stages. I love my jag and just thinking about it being boosted gives me chills.
I will keep you guys updated and if a tech or anyone else wants to helpme out with some input be my guest, that is why I posted this up. If I'm going the wrong way or have been misinformed let me know.
