Default Upper front control arms stype V8 '05

Hey folks,
I want to change my upper front control arms on both sides, the bushings are worn and loose . So I start shopping online , and I found those with 5 years warranty for a cheap price . What do you think ?

I did this a while ago. I live in Illinois, so I am happy with the changes to my handling as described in the thread below (Lots of straightline highway driving).
Just be aware, they will fit, but they will be different than the correct Jaguar arms.

If they don't have free play:
Buy dust ball joint covers from any parts store, grease, install.
Or if you are lazy like me:
grease, use some rubber or plastic to wrap ball joint and use zip ties. Make sure zip ties match your car paint.

I don't think it's a good idea, I have no alignement on my car because of those control arms, they need to be change , I don't like driving my car the way it drives right now .

I no longer will ever use aftermarket crap parts for suspension when i do side work. Way too many problems, they just dont last and im speaking from experience on mort than a few cars. 1 including my girlfreinds stype. I put lower ball joints in front which is the verticle link. 8 months later she complained it was making that popping noise again. Ok ill look at it when i get a chance, didnt get the chance before the drivers side ball joint broke. Thankfully only in a parking lot. Youre not saving anything and going to put your safty at risk and then buying good parts and having to do the job again.

Even if you have a good warranty on those parts ?

A good warranty that leaves you possibly in a accident, broke down on the side of the road, wornout tires, and doing the labor again. Yeah ok.

That warranty means absolutely nothing if you destroy your tires, destroy other suspension parts that are not under warranty, possibly destroy your car, and put you and your family's life at risk. The warranty covers replacement of your cheap, faulty component with another cheap, equally faulty-designed component.

I put eBay control arms and v-links on my '01 Stype and within 1200 miles the vertcal link ball joint developed so much wobble that it destroyed a brand new tire. The warranty covered the vertical link only. It did not cover the labor expense to remove the bad link and replace it with another (same bad design) link, nor the expense of replacing the tire, the alignment, nor my time wasted on all of this. I won't ever make that mistake again.

All to save a few dollars up front on parts. After that experience I will only use Lemfoerder or Jaguar or a few other highly respected suspension brand components on my Jaguars. Never will use unbranded crap again, no matter how long the warranty is.

OEM parts, always!

They may cost a bit more, but you know they will fit exactly.

...and not only fit exactly, but OEM will also be the exact same HIGH QUALITY as the component that was on your car when it left the factory.

Let's face it - it's damned difficult to tell a crap component from a high quality one just by looking at a picture of it on the internet.
