Using 18" XF wheels
I'm getting much closer to needing to replace the wheels on my ''08 4.2l so I wanted to check with the collective again.
Can I use the 18x8.5 wheels from an XF on my car? The offset (49mm) and bolt pattern (5x108) seem right, but the wheel is 0.5 in wider than the original ones on my car.
I know that lots of people on this list have replaced their wheels, has any one used a 8.5" diameter wheel? Would it rub against any "hard" parts?
My problem is I have one leaking tire and I suspect that the wheel may be bad. The wheels are chrome Vulcans and all 4 are in pretty bad shape, chrome-wise. If the wheel is bad I will have to replace all four (replacing all four chrome Vulcans would be ~$2400...).
Reconditioned 18" S-Type wheels are very rare but there are plenty of reconditioned XF wheels available at a very favorable price (~$140.00/wheel). I'd like to stay with Jaguar wheels and that is why I'm looking at the XF wheel.
Thanks

Yes, 18x8.5" XF wheels fit the S-Type no problem.

There was also a member on the UK forum who fitted some a couple of weeks ago.

I did exactly the same XF wheel switch on my 2005 S-Type. Works and looks great. No contact.
I raised tire pressure from 28 to 33psi to maintain even tire wear. At 36psi the ride gets too harsh.
