Using an MP3 player in Jag - a SOLUTION
Car Kit MP3 Player Wireless FM Transmitter Modulator USB SD MMC LCD with Remote | eBay
My 2007 S-type does not have an adapter for an MP3 player & I wasn't going to spend a lot of $$ to adapt the current audio system to use one. Saw the above & thought I would "gamble" a whole $11.00 (shipping included!) It arrived the other day and so far, works just fine. Plug it in to the power socket, cord from headphone jack on MP3 player to unit, same FM frequency on unit as radio & ....music.
I'm sure there are better options out there but not for the price!

I use something similar, but cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4in1-Car-MP3...item2ec8e10f00
It works nicely.

I used to use the cassette adapter in my Acura but Jag does not have the cassette player installed. I think the sound is better with this FM option than the cassette player used to be. I've used this thing a lot & the sound is as good as the factory installed MP3 option in my other car.
