I have an '01 S-Type 4.0. The passenger side valve cover gasket has been leaking awhile. The one coil it shorted out was easy to replace, but the oil smoke now comes into the car due to the HVAC intake's proximity so I'm determined to finally fix this.
However, I can't seem to find the Jaguar gasket set anywhere and the nearest dealer is a few hours away.
My question is this - Is the valve cover gasket the same as the Lincoln LS 3.9? I was able to find this writeup on one of the Lincoln sites for the LS which lists these as the Ford part #'s:
[ul][*]LH - XW4Z-6584-BB Gasket Kit[*]RH - XW4Z-6584-AB Gasket Kit[/ul]Does anyone know if there are any differences? I can't find either of those online, but at least my town has a Ford dealer and I'm sure they'd be much cheaper.

No, sorry...Haven't messed with the 4. liter engine. But, i can tell you that the 3 liter jag engine is not the same as the ls 3 liter.

oh, forgot to mention, if you call the dealer they can cross reference it for you and...if they have it, most can mail it out to you, so you don't have to drive. I've done that a few times.
