Default very annoying rattle

Hey everyone, I've had my 2006 s type for almost a month now and there's this rattling noise that seems to be coming from the air vent areas, both driver and passenger side.

At first it was just the driver side, I fixed that by stuffing a short strip of drinking straw with some paper stuffed inside in between the vent and the dashboard.

Shortly after I did that, a new rattle started and it sounds like it's coming from the passenger air vent, I tried to fix it the way I did with the driver's side but it didn't work. When on a bumpy road, there's just this constant rattle coming from there and someties it seems it's from the center arm rest (it's empty), it just annoys the hell out of me and I don't know how to fix it. Please someone help.

p.s. could it be that my shocks might be all bad and it's shaking things loose? Because I could feel and hear every bump on the road.

No, your shocks are probably just fine. The plastic-on-plastic parts inside the vents do tend to develop rattles over time on some of these cars, particularly when the weather turns colder. Some members here have managed to find relief by removing some of the vent parts and reinforcing them with small pieces of foam and perhaps a bit of lubrication. Search the forum using "vent rattles" as your search phrase and you should come up with some ideas on how to tackle this....

This is the in dash vents and not the defroster vent up by the windshield? The defroster vent by the windshield is a well know source of rattles but is pretty easy to fix.
