Auto Volume Can't disable on XJ 2010 Model
I have this most annoying Auto Volume problem on my 2010 XJ whereby the stereo volume alters according to the road surface. It's a great idea but most annoying.
Speaking to my Jag dealer I was told on the 2010 model the auto volume can't be disabled.
I was wondering if anyone has a similar problem and found a fix.
I understand there are supposed to be a mic or sensor that picks up the road noise or driving speed etc and then adjusts the volume. So my idea would be to find this and disconnect it.
Would like to know if anyone has any info on this.
Regards
Adrian

Wouldn't we all. I'm sure there must be someone out their who knows something.
Maybe try a different route to work and avoid the potholes and changes in road surfaces.
Joking apart it is annoying. When driving on your own with music on loud it's not too bad, infact hardly noticeable.
It's just when you have people in the car having light conversation with music on low so you're not being rude and then from nowhere the volume alters.
Hopefully we'll get a solution for this.
