Hello all.

I have a 2011 XJ. Is there some sort of automatic music leveling option? I have looked through the manual (though not in detail) and haven't found anything. It seems that the music level goes up and down while driving - apparently adjusting for speed and/or noise.

Yes, they have Audyssey noise monitoring. I find it's a bit too aggressive at times, and there's no way that I can see to turn it off.
