Oh, I like riddles...uhmm....lemme see....er....ok, I give up. Why?
Alright, alright....have you checked the hose? My recollection of that model's arrangement is the feed hose comes up at the aft right side of the engine bay and goes into the bonnet to a T or Y fitting thence to both nozzles. All of this is under your bonnet-liner and in some parts inside stiffening ribs and other such structure. So I'd first check the bonnet liner for excess moisture, indicating plumbing has failed somewhere between the split and the non-functioning nozzle. More likely, however, is you have an obstruction in said-plumbing or the aforementioned nozzle. If the hose was off, I doubt you'd get much of a spray pattern out of the side that is still connected.

Is this perchance a UK Market 2004? I know the UK 2002.5 = USA 2003, but never really learned when the USA 2005 refresh was coded to UK MY change. "2004" to me means you have two nozzles on the bonnet. But your last note indicates nozzles on the wiper arms a la 2005. That should be a little easier to troubleshoot, due to accessibility of the hoses. Just start pulling them apart immediately upstream of the bit that is not working until you find the culprit. But it is likely some obstruction in the nozzle itself...I'd start there with a small pin or needle, maybe take the hose off and try to "backflush" the nozzle with compressed air.
