We all know the acronym 'RTFM', maybe
there should be 'RTFFFAQ' (read the freaking forum faq) acronym also. I just spent an hour trying to get rid of the dreaded EPB fault after doing some minor maintenance on one rear caliper. I was SURE that I had the EPB reset procedure memorized correctly. Seems I didn't. FAQs to the rescue!

The effort was all worthwhile as braking performance is now back up to 100%. The LR caliper was not doing much in stopping the car as the EPB lever on the caliper was not returning to the fully released position causing the pad to drag slightly. This wear plus the lack of self adjustment on the caliper gave a low and squishy feeling to the pedal. Both my rear calipers seem to have wimpy return springs that are barely capable of bringing the PB levers to the released positions. Anybody else?

Nice post Mikey... Sooooo true. And I'll admit to it...
I "holler" check the oil filter mount for left over gasket when you change the oil...yet a stuck gasket has bitten me twice....and made a big mess.
I need to listen to myself as well....
