Wheels Australia. STR article/comparison August 2002
May be of some interest to some here. Australia's most respectable motor magazine used to run regular track comparisons with other performance cars.
They compared the STR to one of the local General Motors products from their 'Special Vehicles' operation - The Holden (Commodore) SV300. A souped up version version of the locally produced sedan.
In all fairness to the STR, aside of the BMW X5 4.6is it'd be probably one of the heaviest in the group tested.
