My stock bulbs are looking a bit outdated compared to all the new cars on the road so I have the urge to upgrade. Where is the best place to buy 6000K D2S bulbs? I have seen prices range from $10 to $130, so not sure of the quality based on a brief description from tens of websites. Also, how hard is the install? Thanks!

 

It appears Sylvania and Phillips are the best brands after doing about 3 hours of research. I don't feel to comfortable with the off brands that are about 20-25% cheaper and made in Japan. Sylvania SilverStars or Xenarc's are 5000K although brighter, but they are not what I want with stock being 4300K, so I am looking at Philips D2S 6000K 85122WX off of ebay free shipping, for $100 with one year warranty. Seller name is ultinon, 1200 transactions with 99.6% positive reviews. Will post results in a few weeks.

 

I've always had good luck with DDM tuning for HID kits and bulbs.

 

The retrofit source is a good place with a large selection of both OEM and Chinese bulbs.

 

+1 On the retrofit Source. Don't chance eBay, or the cheap knock-off's. Totally not worth the relatively small amount you "save".

 

eBay is just the retailer, which is no different than amazon, autozone, or sears. What matters is the brand and the terms and conditions of the deal.

 

Has anyone ever tried the GE bulbs? Reviews are ok from what I see and the price is decent. The only complaint I see people having is that they think they are over 5100k because they have a little blue color in them, which is completely fine with me. Price looks decent too.
