Windows being streaked by felt?
Hey guys. Recently 3 of my 4 main windows started getting streaks from interference or lack of lubrication. One of them has caused long vertical scratches on the tint as you can almost see below. Sorry for the crappy photo. The others just get vertical streaks that can be rubbed off. I've read about people applying a little grease to solve a similar problem but because this is happening in the middle instead of the end track, I don't know if it's applicable. Someone said they tried to clean the felt and it made it worse. I'd like to get the windows retinted soon so I'm wondering if someone knows a handy trick or should just replace the inner felt strips?

The tint is on the inside of the window. The dirt is on the ouside of the window.
If you getting scratches in the tint I would clean the inner seals real good. Since they are inside they should not be getting dirty or getting grit in them.
Do you drive with the windows down?
Check down in the door as there are some felt pads that press against the window. Maybe try to clean them too?
