Wiper doesn't park
Orlee, We almost have it !!! You were right, the power to the motor from 17-4 is weak under load. I tests fine with a meter but doesn't do the job when motor runs. I spliced into the 17-4 wire with a hot lead from the fuse box. Ran the wipers, everything worked and stopped exactly where it should. If I could find and fix the break in the original line it would be ideal but since the harness is hidden/ buried I kind of doubt I'll be able to do that. If not, unless you have a better suggestion, I'll cut the old 17-4 wire near the wiper motor, splice in a 10 amp fusible wire and run it to the front distribution box. With that the problem would be fixed.
I could never have solved this without your wonderful help, you are the best. Thank you very much.
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Glad you did it. With so much dedication - you can overcome any problem
btw - checking with voltmeter is not advised with automotive checks - since it does not load the tested terminal. This is why automotive electrician use lamp to test the hot signal.
Running alt wire is perfect. the old one failed - why use it? If the new wire run neatly and protected from shorts and future mishaps - no problem. Glad you did solve the issue, I was starting to get worried as well...

I FIXED MINES, one wire its a red one has constant live even when its switched off, as far as i can remember its a red wire, so check them all with ignition on and wiper working, if one of your red wires not showing any life cut it and join a direct live and try your wiper!
