Wiring Harness
I have a 2001 Jaguar S-type 3.0...
The dealership told me that it looks like somebody had installed some after-market ignition coils and "spliced" the wires going from the PCM to the coils (near the coils, most likely because the coils used a different connector...
So they gave me an estimate of $6000 for a new wiring harness!
isn't there an easier/ less expensive way around this such as running new wiring from the coils to the PCM only where they have been spliced???
any suggestions/ advice would be very helpful

if it is just a splice, you can easily solder them back together and use shrink tubing to keep it clean and water tight. Take a pic of exactly the area they spliced into all ill tell you the easiest route to take for it.
