Default Yaw rate sensor

Hi all

It's been a while since posting on here, I'm hoping someone can help. I have the DSC light up on my dash constant, oh by the way it's a 2003 3 litre S-Type. My question is where is the yaw rate sensor located on my car.

The fault code on my reader was C1279 yaw rate sensor circuit failure. I'm happy to take this job on but I cannot find any definitive answers as to where the yaw sensor is located. I saw a video on YouTube for the x type and it's located behind the ashtray. But I had a look in mine thinking it may be the same but alas not.
Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks guys

It's in the center console. Pull the console and look in the JTIS to identify it.

You do have the free JTIS (Shop Manual)?

Thanks for the response clubairth 1 unfortunately I don't have the JTIS shop manual. Is it as simple as pulling centre console? When I stripped centre console before had a fairly good look is it aft or fore of the gear shifter?
Thanks

No the JTIS is free on this site and you need to download and install it.

Look at the top of the forum for JTIS and follow the instructions.
You will need it again so it's worth it to get it for free.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to S-Type forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.
