Zenon turned pink.
I noticed this morning that my drivers side headlight is shining a purplish pink color. Does this mean it's going bad? If so is it covered by SE or can I replace it myself?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I just spoke to Jaguar cust. serv. and the headlights bulbs are not covered and (not to rehash old business) I asked about the headlights in general ,levelers, sockets and anything to do with the headlights and was told nothing is covered.
Just some info.

I'd replace both myself badmojo. Pick up a couple Osrams from ebay (new if you can find them) and swap them out. Dealer will unfortunately be MUCH more expensive. Good luck.

I'm having trouble finding the HID modules. There are so many fuses and relays that relate to them in the owners manual that I'm not shure which is which. I did swap the R10 and the R13 micro relays but no difference.
Also Genius I would be interested in the bulbs and or the modules. I sent you an email reguarding prices.
Thanks.

Let's see if this helps. They are both the same white when they first come on but after a few seconds the drivers side starts to turn a purplish ntil it gets fairly dark and then stays.
BTW. I found these on ebay. The seller claims that they are direct replacement for my bulbs. Haas anybody ever tried them?

Genius, I'm assuming that yours are new? Both bulbs and modules.
Thanks.

mojo, I would much rather put these Philips brand bulbs in your projectors than those aftermarket ones. I fully trust OSRAM and Philips bulbs. you're call bud
If J-genius can get you OSRAMS for less than $150, I would definately go with those. I have a feeler that they will be considerably higher.

Actually that price is for 2 bulbs and I have a shop that will install both for 40.00 so for that price if I am not happy with them I will change them. Also I can give you guy's some feedback on how they work! Genius thanks for confirming that they are the same bulbs and for all your help. Who knows, I may still need the modules after all. I'll keep you posted. Also I am told by my Jaguar dealer that they are about twice the power of stock. Lifetime warranty too so will see. My dealer wanted 319.00 for one bulb plus installation. I'd be looking at about 850.00 for the 2 installed.
By the way, Is there any real trick to installing these bulbs as far as accessing them? Just curious.
Thanks.

I see mojo, and it's your call ultimately, but after you add shipping...
$50 + 16 = $66 or
$87 + 0 = $87
my point is it's only $21 more to get a name brand bulb. Just sayin...
All the best of luck!

Hey, as long as you don't HAVE to go to the dealer, right! lol
You could always see if frombenztojag wants a spare pink bulb. he probably is converting his next car as we type back n forth.

wait till you change the bulbs.. warranty time pays 1.3 hours.. your sappose to pull off the bumper to replace... but.. sometimes i do it without.. but the setup is stupid.. you will see. take a pic before remove the actual bulb.. for orientation.. you'll know when you there.. just be patient.. can be challenging.. to install properly..
Well on my way home from work it flickered a couple of times and went out completley so I'm assuming now that it is the bulb. Genius, What makes them different from replacing the halogen bulbs as far as getting to them? The owners manual makes it sound pretty simple.
Speaking of benztojag, there is a guy that left negative feedback on the bulb sight with the name fastbenzamg. I'll bet it's him still complaining. LOL

Today I noticed that everytime I turn on the headlights the bad one flickers a couple of times and then goes out. Does this sound like the bulb or the ballast?
Thanks.
Thanks.
