AaronW, here's a look. It's really amazing how this one modification can change the look! Sorry it's the pre-facelift but best example I could find. Frankly, I'd have it painted because even though wrapping is reversable, A: wrap never quite looks as deep and glossy as paint, and B: who would ever change it?!?!? It looks to right with the car!!

I have thought about getting the roof wrapped (don't think I would paint just because it is irriversable then). I have seen pictures and like the look. These pictures are from a company that sells rims.

No black pack or sports pack on this one though.

Sweet ride...

What size rims/tires are on the car above? I am going to buy some summer "shoes" and those look sweet inside the wheel well...I see most buy 20", but I have seen some in other places with 22"...want to see if they both fit and ride quality of each...

Those have to be 22's. And it's lowered.

2010 Kyanite XFR - Yes, those certainly look like 22's...is there a reason why u chose the 20's? I am just trying to gather info before I make my choice...I would be a bit nervous with those 22's and the cat lowered....just my opinion...

I bent two of the stock 20's so I'm gun-shy about that now. Plus I'm not into the look of the car being slammed with no sidewalls on the tires. At 46, it just looks like it would just be too many sacrifices to deal with.

I also know that the bigger the rim, the heavier it gets and the worse the suspension will perform. The 20's fill the wheel wells enough and clear the giant brakes, so I'm happy with them.

Makes sense..

How is the ride? I have 19's on mine now, so I am looking to move up for the summer and stagger the sizes...

Looking at this picture they state 22".

If I was buying a new set they would definitely be from Vossen. vossenwheels.com.

They have so many that are really nice. Alas I have a set of Selenas and a set of Kalimnos so don't think I need any. Really like the 22" look personally.

If you want ride quality with the 20's try the Hankook Ventus V12 evo's. I bought the car with them on it and the ride was excellent. Handling was decent, but nothing special.

I have Bridgestone S-04's now and they handle soooo much better, but the ride suffered a bit.

I hear everyone raving about the ride in the XE, which I had on the extended weekend test drive. I guess I'm spoiled by the XFR, because even with my "rougher riding" S-04's, it was still less busy in the ride department than the XE.

And that's not a knock against the XE at all. The handling and suspension control were great, just a little less insulating. That little car handles like a go cart and was tons of fun, so I'm a fan. It's just not an XFR, nor does it want to be.

So that's a reference for what I consider to be good ride qualities as well.

IMHO the 22s look best but definitely something to consider is what roads are like where you live! I say that with emphasis. If the roads are pretty good 22s with the right tires and you won't notice much difference in the ride at all (to me) HOWEVER the minute u slightly bend one you'll notice a pretty good difference. Mine aren't perfect from where I've hit a pothole or two and have slight bends but I still get a good ride in my opinion. The wife on the other hand has a nice bend in just one of hers and you can definitely feel the shaking in the steering wheel because of it...not totally horrible but definitely noticeable.

22x9 all the way around on the black and staggered 22x9, 22x10.5 on the white.

I just love the pre-facelift XF. Mine is a pre-facelift and I could have bought a facelift, but I just love those headlights from the side-view. The facelift is also sexy, but the pre-facelift just has a presence even when its standing still - like your white and black duo - my color choice was between white or grey, and eventually I went for grey because the chrome stood out better on the darker car. Yours are super nice.

Good afternoon RodTee XF -

Thanks for the info - I am in Texas as well...north of you in little 'ole Abilene...lol
I am pretty sure I wouldn't have may issues here, but if I went to the DFW Metroplex - totally different story as you may know. With that said, I do like the look...did you have the cars lowered?

Do you drive the white with the staggered wheels? (smile)

I like the staggered look...and the more I look at the pics, the more I am feeling the 22's...

VERY nice cars, by the way

No problem and yes I have some experience with DFW roads and automatic car washes with attendants that don't know how to guide you in against the rail, I think my rims where still pretty brand new at the time too, can u say pissed but I digress...lol.

No neither of the cars are lowered and yes the white one is mine, the black belongs to the lady of the house.

Not that anyone here has said anything really negative but there will be naysayers that have nothing good to say about an XF on 22s but at the end of the day it's your money spend it on what YOU like. If you like the 22s get em. As long as the roads are decent there and you keep some good rubber on them you should be fine!

Oh and THANKS by the way! Wish you luck in your quest to find the perfect wheel. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to PM me.

Default New to community

I'm new to the Jaguar XF community and, of course, late to this post. I am currently having a minor mod done on my 2011 XF and will be more than happy to post once completed. Truly proud of my XF because I have the only one of its color in my area....NIIIIIICE!!!

Question...does anyone know of any mods that can be done to the headlights so as to have the day running lights on them? Thanks!

I got rid of my F-Type V6S Coupe and bought this more dog friendly beast a few months ago. She's a 2015 XFR-S Sportbrake in Ultra Blue.
