Maybe not a theory... Stereotype is probably more appropriate...

Be clear, we don't think all elderly folks dislike custom wheels, we think a person who would battlecry against a custom wheel would most likely be elderly. They are not mutually exclusive.

Lets put it to bed. I'd rather have this post reflect options available to all F-Type owners and not be a place discouraging choice. As the author, can I ask the content here to reflect the purpose of the post. If one wants to start a post on the merits of wheel sizing, I'd even chime in there!

As I said before this has been debated ad-nauseum.

I was just pointing out the "battle-cry" came from a 26 yr old in this case and you said ALWAYS, not usually . . . just being light-hearted. BTW, welcome to the forum!

There is no wrong answer, and all that matter is what you like. You seem to be familiar with the potential disadvantages, thus able to make an informed choice.

Here are the actual pics of the wheels on my car but the truth is that my car arrives Thursday. I did ask the dealership prior to buying her if there was any curb rash on the wheels and they said the wheels were 10/10. Hard to believe a car with 10K mi. would have zero rash but I'll let you know Thursday. They seem to look perfect in the pics here.
Nice! Definitely let me know how they are when you pick them up. We can probably work something out. BTW, one of my relatives is a pro player. Do you happen to know Perry Friedman?

I dont. So many players now...I may know him if he's local to me.

How would you do the shipping? I could strap pairs and get them to Atl via Fed Ex but I think you'd be looking at $300 or so in shipping.

I should probably be fair and accept the best offer as I had another guy PM me about the wheels. You can PM with yours. I'm definitely pulling the trigger on a set of wheels so these are definitely for sale and I have a spare set so you don't even need to wait on mine being ready to mount.

Default tornado rims

I am interested in buying the black Tornado rims. I just purchased a 2016 F Type R. I am boosting the power to 625 and putting on 275 20's on the front and 325 20's on the back. I need a set of rims for winter tires. How much are you asking? If you want you can call me...Rob in Vancouver

Those tire sizes exceed the recommended tire width for the front and rear OEM wheels, respectively. The rear tire wall will look pinched and the tire patch front and rear will not be ideal. The maximum tire width should be 265/305 front/rear.

Hello, about the tornado black rims someone might be interested in selling. I wasn't very clear.

I want to put standard R type 255 front, 295 WINTER tires on these rims. I am purchasing Niche Rims which are much larger for the 275 tires on the front and 325 tires on the back. I am looking for a separate set of rims for the winter tires as above.

Best, Rob

Please post pics and specs on the Niche wheels when you get them. Some of us are constantly looking at options for differing reasons.

I will. I hope I know how to do this. Remember I'm an old guy and don't know tech that well. Rob

Rob, I would recommend you edit your previous posts (there is an edit button on each post) and remove your phone number. Best not to post things like phone numbers, email addresses etc on public Internet forums.

I'm not gonna lie... I think that looks great. But so does a properly offset and dropped 20" setup too. But... It doesn't look like you can actually drive it hard... I could be wrong. I need to be able to drive it hard.

Would be interested in a group buy. But last time I checked with them, they were pretty expensive, at least for me. They ran $8k+. I was interested in the RS series as well. I have found other manufacturers. I am interested in Forged Monoblocks.

Not Manufactured in the US, but they are almost a quarter of the cost. Plus they provide good warranty. Haven't heard anything bad about them, but reviews are limited. People who have used this on other forums claim them to be of very high quality and finish. I was quoted around $2k to $4k for monoblock forged.

Hi, thank you for the advice. I can't find an edit button. Although sometimes when I press a certain button it magically appears. Can you tell me how to edit so I can remove my phone number. Thanks Rob

Had a 2016 BMW 650 Gran Coupe with factory 21's. Was poppin' tire like crazy. Was torture.

I smiled when I read "we don't think all elderly folks dislike custom wheels". I'm not a kid anymore but I do enjoy looking at a classy set of forged wheels.

I do feel a bit old when I can't figure out what makes a "stanced" car wicked (uhhhh...Groovy...in my old man speak....Oh Snap!)

Go to their web sight and see if theres anything that interests you.

If they agree, I'll see if we can pool our monies for some buying power.

Lets not make this a tired debate between 20" and 21" wheels. I think everyone clearly knows the pros/cons of smaller/bigger rims by now. It's been debated for decades.

Get what you like, make a smart choice based on your own needs, and enjoy the hell out of your car.

^^^ This. And I like this wheel you found, would look excellent on an F type. My 2 cents, consider a graphite finish or something almost black, give you a tad of contrast from the tire...
