I bought the British Diagnostic software in hopes of finding an answer to my Air Fault Suspension light. I ran it and got the following information but I don't know the acronyms for the areas it diagnosed. Can anyone interpret the attached pictures of the screen please?
That screen is just an overview of the module network of the vehicle.
Green ticks mean a mandatory or optional module is communicating with the car.
Orange question marks are optional modules that are not fitted to the car, so no communication.
You don't have any red crosses so that means all the modules that are fitted to the car are communicating.
To dig deeper you will have to make a Diagnostic Session, select a symptom from the list, and then you will get a summary of all the Diagnostic Trouble Codes, with the ones most relevant to your selected symptom highlighted.
You will then also be given some recommendations of actions that can be taken. My advice is don't.
I bought the same SDD as you, so heres a quick run through of how to get your fault codes up:-
1:Open a "Diagnosis" session
2:Press "Selected Symptoms" at the top
3:In the tree, find air suspension, cant remeber off hand what it is under
4:Press submit at the bottom
5:A new screen should load, the headings "Unrelated events" and "Related events" should be on the top, click each of these to see your fault codes.
To clear, go to reccomendations and click "Clear all stored DTCs" and then "Re-read all stored DTCs"
On a side note, a lot of problems with air suspension are caused by the piston ring in the compressor, look up bagpipingandys compressor repair kit on ebay, fitted it myself, 1 hour or two of work, works a treat!
Don't worry about using SDD for just looking up fault codes, its only when you start flashing things with the fake mongooses that things go wrong!
