Default My XKR coupe is up for sale!

The time may have arrived for me to move on. I adore my XKR but I just don't drive her much. I'm not afraid to drive this car anywhere. My problem is I'm afraid to park it. I have her on a local craigslist to see if I get any nibbles.

51k miles
Black/black.
ipod integration (acm)
adaptive cruise
tinted windows
trans serviced
all new brakes
recent tires
perfect wheels
XK mid-pipe (original included)
HKS Camp2
Quaife LSD

Garage already has a queen in it and one's got to go. I love the car but we're moving on to something with a bigger wing... and a propeller.

Your car is in great condition.

"My problem is I'm afraid to park it" - me too - I was parked off the road, but a guy managed to back out of a parking spot across two lanes and hit my fender with his tow hitch - at least the guy hung around for insurance details.

The guy could not have hit the fender in a worse place, the hit bent the tab (non painted aluminum) on the fender apron. I don't think they can straighten that so it will need a completer fender apron plus all the other damaged parts hanging off the apron tab.

I'm freakin' choked...grrr

Good luck with the car sale - I bought my 2009 XKR last xmas for 35K Canadian with 68km on her - well looked after.

TNT10:

I use an orbital buffer with Meguiars Ultimate polish on mine, its very mild stuff but it does a good job, then a wax job applied with the buffer.

Ancient Chinese secret. (Ok for some of you I'm showing my age)

Having owned many black cars you learn the tricks.

I have a commercial buffer.

http://3mcollision.com/products/buff.../standard-pads

Depending on the level of damage I start with 3M Microfine machine polish on an ice cold car using a grey 3M pad. Next is usually McGuires step 2 polish to remove 3M swirls using a 3M blue pad. Last is NuFinish applied by hand with a micro fiber pad.

Thanks for the compliment BTW. I'm a little retentive when it comes to things mechanical.

You can't sell it because you'll need a ride to the hangar. And it's too nice to sell with the Quaife LSD, HKS Camp2 gauges, and adaptive cruise control. You'll never find another one as nice and you'll regret selling it. It's a timeless classic and yours is very special and unique. Sell something else if you need to raise the cash to buy the plane. Why flyc2c when you can drive in style and comfort and enjoy the countryside along the way?

It's hard to compete with 200mph.

Maybe you should consider posting someplace that will show it nationally, instead of just local. I found mine 2 states away.

2007 Jaguar is listed @ $35,000 from what I saw in the ad.

Nice looking Jaguar.

Yes I started at $35k. You never know.

Not on fire to sell so I've only listed it locally.

This is the one I'm more enthusiastic about selling:
Toyota Celica All Trac Hatchback 2 Door | eBay

Or keep it?

Hard to tell from your post above what directions you decided to go.

Keep it, unless you decide you need 510 hp.

Flyc2c,

I would buy it in a heart beat if it was the right color combo. NOTHING BEATS A CAR OWNED BY A COMMERCIAL PILOT. We treat our cars like we treat our planes. Anything short of perfection is no bueno.......and it bugs us. Ive spent thousands on a hooptie chasing down a rattle.

We just got a 2013 in the stable for the wife....but i wouldnt mind having one for myself.

Gonna keep her a bit longer. The new toy I'm looking at won't require the sale.

Sorry, but black on black is the right combo.

Yeah, I'm a little retentive with mechanical things.
