Nice. Now who was it who said that cars don't attract hot women?

A friend of mine worked for Apple at the time they had the BHA (ButtHead Astronomer) project. That's how I heard the story. I think he also tried to sue over the BHA name but that would have meant that "Butthead Astronomer" uniquely referred to Sagan. All second- and third-hand info but it makes an amusing story.

I liked his show when I was younger and still have his book, but my favorite modern astronomer has got to be Cliff Stoll. He's more famous for his non-astronomy work, but I suppose that's the breaks.

jimbobble,
That's one nice wheel. Any chance you caught the name of the Dubai craftsman?

I have the contact of the contact. And it's my understanding that there is still potentially one here in Toronto in red stitching. I believe he was charging near or around $2000 USD.

I passed on it. Couldn't quite justify the spend.

Yikes. I'd rather spend that money on headers and and an oversized inter-cooler.

Default First time poster.

First time poster so thought I'd share my F-Type story. My father was British and worked for 50 years always wanting a Jag. So 3 years ago when he retired he bought a 2011 XF Portfolio. I drove him to the dealer to pick it up. A few months later I borrowed the car and had the Leaper installed for a Father's day present cause he said a Jag isn't a Jag without the Leaper. I fell in love with the F-Type when it came out in 2014 and we talked about having Father and Son Jags together. I used to live in Dubai and was going to purchase one over there, but sadly both my folks got sick toward the end of 2014 and I decided to return home to the states. Told my dad I'll still get the F-Type, just might take a little longer. Well sadly my father passed away June 3, 2016, but he made my 2016 F-Type V6S in Italian Racing Red with a 6MT happen a little bit sooner then I'd imagine. Love this car and it's my place I can go to 'hangout' with my Dad. I know he's smiling down on me. The license plate is in reference to were he is from,
Stoke-on-Trent, England.

What a great and touching story. I suspect you are exactly right, your dad is smiling and probably laughing like a schoolboy when you hit the throttle.

Figured. I'm about 60-90 minutes west of you. Spent some of my formative years planning for emergencies at our state's nuc plants when I worked at the state emergency management office.
