Default Cooland leak troubleshooting

Sorry I meant "coolant"... anyway...

I have a 1998 LHD XJR and recently I've smelled coolant in the engine bay after a drive and I've noticed bits of coolant collecting around the nuts shown in the photo. I've had head gaskets replaced about a year ago so I don't think it's that. I've wiped off the coolant and they're reappeared. Does anybody know why there would be a leak around these nuts? Thanks.

The source is probably one of the hoses between the cylinder heads near the front of the engine. A pressure tester is the quickest way to locate it.

This link may help with the detective work....https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...oolant-159698/

....check these areas (bear in mind, mine is a 2000), some are obvious, but there are also 2 hoses that run under the SC that are not visible for inspection. You literally have to pull the SC....not as bad as it sounds. Check for soft hoses, they can weep. The arrow on the SC, above the water pump is pointing at the weep hole where it would be on the water pump under the SC neck. The plastic rigid line coming up above the center of the water pump, onto the bypass, is the one I'd suspect. The line connector gets brittle, along with the O-ring inside, and can easily be your culprit. I would be suspect of a stuck thermostat as well.
