Maybe that's your restricted performance light?...LOL
I've never had any good come off of a burnt rubber smell. I believe ericjansen just posted that there's a plastic drive connection under the seat for the motor drive. I also believe he said there are just 4 bolts holding the seat in and you just have to lean it back for inspection after taking them off.
