Yes, as I look at this it seems I have a way to turn my 6 car garage into a 9 car garage with two more lifts and 3 car dollies. My wife, for some reason, is not yet on board with this plan. Apparently she wants to actually be able to get into the garage.

Default My Wife's 2003 XK8

Hi All
New member here from Cape Cod Massachusetts.

Found this 2003 for my wife to compensate her for letting me update to a 2017 Corvette Grand Sport.
Previously have owned an XK1
40MC, XK150S, and a XKE.

I'm really impressed with the ride and comfort of the XK8.

Nice pair of cars and a great location to drive them. Love the wheels on the Jag.

Default JAG NOIR

I like to play around with my camera as a hobby and last night was trying to re-create the old film noir look. Those dark, grainy, moody old films from the 40's. Of course starring my favourite actress.....

This is my little motor, with the steering wheel on the proper side.

Thank you. Nice of you to say so.

As you may have noticed the colour also looks different in different lights.

Frank
Nice car

Trying to figure....exhausts would normally appear on an 04 and onwards.
Side stripe would appear on an 03 and earlier car....I get the private reg.

Cheers
Brian

LOL the paint is always the same colour just reflects the sun light differently at different angles and brightness.

Its good though, if you dont like the colour just move around the car a bit or turn up the sun a little.

You figured out I was just kidding, frankc. We need a 'just kidding' button to push.
In '76 I had a dark green '64 Mercedes that would turn almost dark blue at night. In '97 I built a gold showbike with pink ghost flames that would move around as you circled the bike. In '08 I painted pearl yellow ghost competition stripes on my yellow 911. They are so faint as to be almost invisible in daylight, yet pop out at certain angles of the sun or street lights at night. And I don't get to see any of this as I'm the only one who drives the car. I never get to see my show cars or bikes going down the road.
Also, frankc. Just because, I'm thinking of painting pearl silver ghost competition stripes on the XK. Something I thought of in the few years prior to last years purchase of the '05 XK. That and retro-modern 19'' TorqueThrusters to offer up a spirit of vintage racing look. Probly get kicked off the forum for saying that.

Thanks for posting, frankc.

I really like that color of blue, especially at dusk...and since we're talking color and their subtleties, for some obscure reason one of our local law enforcement agencies have their vehicular signage on the sides done in a fade 'in' appliqué that is only obvious from an acute angle. As they drive up to you or one looks in the rearview mirror it is quite a challenge to determine law or other.

As for the wheels you should have seen them before they were refurbished.

Today was a rare warm and dry late November day here in Northern Colorado. So we went for a drive up the Big Thompson Canyon to Estes Park. This a 2006 XKR Victory Edition with accessories, "Frost Blue" paint, "Ivory" interior, dark blue soft top (not shown).

Look up on the hillside above the car:

Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep:

This is the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park Colorado. It is famous as the setting for Stephen King's "The Shining". 24 years ago my wife and I spent our wedding night here. No, it wasn't a horror story.
