also h a fox tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with the xf they sold me even though the brakes kept coming on of thier own accord even at high speed. 7 complete sets of brakes inc. discs in 4 years but i did manage to get jaguar to pay for them all in the end but it took jag assist coming out and following me to cheltenham until the handbrake came on at 60+ miles per hour and even then the jag tech at fox said" it cant do that"the jag assist guy " i know that , you know that now go and tell the ******* car because i have just witnessed it. the car was taken off the road for 12 weeks while they sorted it and it turned out to be a break in the loom which was cross contacting at the wrong time. Only took them 4 years to sort by which time i had had enough so got rid of the car once it was fixed

sorry its been a while but my father in law died so the car has been on back burner. they say that the bcm they fitted is from a coupe and cannot be reprogrammed to a convertible i dont know if this is right but am hoping to find a solution. No I will not use any jag dealers the idiots in cheltenham tried to tell me my s type needed 1650 worth of work doing all of which i completed for about 100 then the one in droitwich told my friend he needed a new viscous fan and showed him the movement in it with the engine stopped until i said that its a viscous fan and will always move until the oil gets warm that is what its supposed to do. they had quoted him over 600 until that point. A meet up would be nice I always try to support the local car shows through the summer although the tewkesbury one was cancelled this year due to bad weather so maybe at one of those there are always plenty of jags being this close to coventry
