Would rather than could buy !! XK140 or E-type. But that's not going to happen outside a lottery win. More realistically an S1 XJ6 4.2 if one can be found in really good condition. Had one in 1973 and loved the quiet , smooth luxury. Great for European cruising.

 

the only other jag i would buy is an f-pace with a towbar so i could haul the parts for the xjs.

 

Ha ha ha....I have one of those in BRG.....and yeah....if I was really to dream big that would be mine dream Jaguar as well...even if it was only 6 cylinders lol!

 

I quite fancy a late model XKR-S.

In practical terms, the Daimler Super V8 seems like a good mix of luxury, looks, and modern(ish) reliability, but my dream Jag, if I could ever afford one, would be the wonderfully curvaceously gorgeous Mark IX.

Minus the ribbons....

 

I have both and have done for a few years now. Sadly the dealers now have no older stock so hard to add to the collection. But they both are wonderful with that lovely Supercharged V8. I have to say the XJR always makes me grin a little more if you are in a sporty mood - Jags very own go kart !

 

Here it's the other way round. The XJ-S came along to keep my good old XJ40 company, and they are a nice pair of Jaaags to own

Long or short wheelbase ? Having both I can never really decide but then again I'm normally the driver :-)
