That is pretty good but IMHO the DB7 is more Jag then the X type is a Ford as it is based on the XJS, the 6 is a Jag engine and there are plenty of parts cross overs to the XK8. Nice car though, a friend of mine has one with that very long double duratec installed.

Default Smokin'!!!

I smoke all summer and since the XKR is the same color as my favorite BBQ sauce, I named it after that brand ("Gates").

I'm glad that I'm subscribed to this thread as I had quite forgotten about it.. I had promised to post if I eventually got a vanity plate for my XK8. In fact I did, at least a couple of years ago. "PRRRFIK" is a play no only on perfect and purr but the "FIK" instead of "FECT" ending is a nod to Pop Larkin, of the Larkin Chronicles. He had an unshakable sunny outlook and was always saying everything was just about perfick. Ironic too as Jaguars and cheetahs cannot actually purr.

I considered getting a vanity plate for my I-Pace as well but so far have not. The previous owner had one and was also in California so I could have kept it but it didn't suit me. Since it is nearly silent, perhaps some version of PURRS. I actually thought of a better one but have forgotten it.

One of the previous owners changed the plate to 191 KBH for some reason. Must mean something but I like it at least.

My wife always wanted a Jag convertible. So a few years back I bought her an XK8 for Xmas. Went to the DMV and ordered a plate that says SUZZ JAG. She loved it and I knew I would never be able to enjoy it myself, So a few months later I found another one locally in the same color as hers. Bought it at a very nice price and ordered a plate that says NOT SUZZ ! Gets a lot of thumbs up when we take them to a show.
