Hi everyone,

Is there anything inside the catalytic converters or the mufflers that looks like the hair from a wig?

I know this is a strange question, but several times now, I have gone outside to find what looks like the hair from a wig hanging out of the right tailpipe. It happened a few weeks ago and I attributed it to kids playing around with my car. Well, today I parked the car and went back outside about 25 minutes later only to find the same thing. The 'hair' is only hanging out about 6-8 inches but it is about 2 feet long. First of all, there are no kids living nearby and secondly, how the hell do they get the hair 16-18 inches up inside the tailpipe? It is a bright sunny day outside. If it is kids, they sure are gutsy. Do they not realize how risky it is to muck around with a certifiably insane man's Jaguar?

The 'hair' has a texture similar to fiberglass strands.

I am wondering if it is perhaps not hair at all and that there is some material coming out of the muffler. What do you guys think?

Mesh from the center silencer maybe?

I had that before as well. In the end it blocked the left silencers. I replaced the lot...

Yeah, not much longer and it will probably block one of the exhaust pipes.

 

do the center silencer and front 2 silencer delete option like myself and Daim did. Not only does it sound better, it will wake the car up too.
