Default Any real difference between CATS/Non-CATS Front Shock Mounts

Hey all,

The non-adaptive shock mounts (Meyle) seem to be much cheaper than the CATS shock mounts available (URO). I cannot seem to notice any difference between the two. I would even go as far to say that the non-adaptive mounts will fit on CATS cars. Has anyone had any trouble putting the non-CATS mounts on these cars? My Super V8 has a set of Meyle shock mounts on them and I'm quite certain they are the non-adaptive, since I only see Genuine and URO available for the CATS mounts. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

see this thread here for more details: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...g-cats-188190/

You won't fit the top of the shock through the non-CATS sleeves as they're narrower than the CATS sleeves.
You either have to swap the bushes from the Meyle parts into your CATS mounts (the road I went down) or you swap the two large washers and the sleeve into the Meyle parts.

Cheers, Alexander
