What was the residual value at turn in? Just wondering how much "profit" they have in it at that $52,900 price point?

 

A dealership can often purchase a lease return from the captive finance company for a number below the residual shown in the lease documents.

 

$45,980 but I told my wife they probably acquired it for less.

Asking and getting are two different things but if they were to get full pop for it, that's a 7 pounder...if they discount it $2K, still a $5K deal.

It makes a perfect switch car..."So the new one's a bit out of reach, well we just got in this beauty with under 8K on it, take a look".

Used to do this for a living...should move pretty quickly at that price...salesman should be happy.

 

What were the details of the car? (V6, V8, R, etc)

Just asking to better understand on the residual vs. their asking price.

I would suspect non cpo at high 40's a couple grand more for cpo, $49k!

 

Base V6 I factory ordered, had about $9K worth of options (Pano/active exhaust/inside and outside Black pack,etc.) MSRP was around $74K.

The value basically dropped $30K in 3 years...pretty typical for these cars.
