Default Front Windshield Top Horizontal Weather Stripping Issues.

So was inspecting the condition of the top horizontal weather strip on my windshield

I'm not sure if it's meant to be like this or not, but how it sits water can get to where the 2 pieces of glass are laminated. You can even see a spot where it seems to be de-laminating.

Whether or not this is meant to be like this I was thinking of maybe putting some sort of sealer or something to fill in the little dip.

I'll attach some pictures below of what it looks like and maybe you guys can give some input, thanks.

Looks like the windshield is not seated properly? Has it always been like that or has the windshield been replaced?

Pics of mine. There is a small "gap" but it is sealed (I assume) to the rubber seal running across the window. No leaks, but no water migration in the window lamination yours appears to have. I would hazard a guess, the window glass is somehow failing.
