Default Cam Cover Gaskets...

The engine in my 1963 3.4L MK2 Frankenjag is out of a 1967 3.4L S Type. I am replacing the cam cover gaskets. I hope I ordered the correct ones. They have an opening at one end. What seals this opening?

Cheers,

Stu

You can see the cam covers have a half moon shape at the rear, those gaskets are correct. All will be revealed, grass hopper, when you take the cover off

Stu the right and left are different. As said when you match them all will become obvious.

There is a seal on the rev generator end on the bearing cap inlet can C14991, and a sealing ring on exhaust cam end C19044
