Yes, I mean after all, they have British Racing Green and Signal Red etc. They could had figured out to say Lipstick Red or Lush Red??? Even if it were just for the US market.
The current Jag red is Caldera Red, which loosely translated is "volcanic red", or "magma red", now that's more like it!
I parked next to a new Caldera Red F-Type the other day, and it and my car looked almost the same color, so I think I'm going to tell people my car is Jaguar Magma Red from now on!!!

The Sons wedding last week, the wife to be was/is a bit goth so we decided to dress the car in the same vein, some people might take offence, tough! We used our S11 as the second car.
My 2001 Carnival Red XJ8 VDP is so much sexier with its new timing chain job, new water pump, new tires, new drive-line, new brakes, new gear-shift knob, and new mesh grill !
