Or this, from The Purple House, from one of our lunch spots (where the menu changes often):

That’s DJS for you. Oh, DJS, you forgot to include a shot of the Crab Roll and the Onion Rings:

Or my [our] very dear friend. Now that’s what I call Community Policing.

Bektic: I will reach out to you later today. In the meantime, please see post #59 to register with the Hyatt. (I do hope your co-pilot is your girlfriend, or wife, as I got the previous attendee the last Double Queen beds they have for our dates). In the words of DJS, welcome aboard.

P.S. thanks Graham!

RickyJay - I would have love to take my wife along and experience it together but when the time comes she will be month away from giving birth to our second child. On that note one of my buddies will attend with me just need to figure there time off and will provide name of the co - pilot!

Happy riding guys!

That's fantastic! Congratulations.

The GM of the Hyatt just wrote me back stating that he's run out of rooms with twin Queen beds available but that most King size rooms have a pull out sofa. So that should suffice for your co-pilot.

As it stands now the Hyatt is holding one more room for us - at the Group rate - with 9 attendees [rooms] taken, 14 F-Types in total, and 26-27 people; depending on whether a few of us have a co-pilot joining.

That potentially leaves room for 1-2 more F-Types and 3-4 more people. So...if you're thinking of coming (and I personally know someone, thinking of coming with their brother, on the fence)...

Thanks Jay! King bed with pull out sofa will be good.

Since this will be my first event, what should I expect?

This thread brings tears to my eyes. I may have to live vicariously through this thread and you guys as the timing is not looking well. Keep you posted dear Jay.
Looks to be another great event shaping up!
Selko92...besides the obvious (F-Type), make sure to bring lots of energy as Jay packs in a full day of events. Think of if like a mini military camp lol.

A lot of very good food.
Some occasional high speeds, if you're willing.
Some fun, scenic roads.
A lot of interesting/fun people.
Interesting places we'll be visiting - Jay's itinerary will slowly get fleshed out.
A LOT of exhaust noise.
Jay and his wife Liz are a lot of fun. Hope she'll be able to attend most events.

As Nati suggests, we all travel together, so being timely is important. Also, please give Jay the courtesy of advance notice, if for some reason you won't be attending an event, meal, etc. He's herding a lot of cats!

Bektic, there are folks coming up from PA/VA, so you could coordinate with them and caravan, if you want. The first year, a number of us met up at Wayne Carini's F40 Motorsports, which was great. He gave us a tour, and was very engaging.

Default Friday Itinerary

I really didn’t want to release any of the itinerary just yet, but since DJS suggested that it will start to be (not the word I’d use) fleshed out:

Friday, Aug 3, 2018

5:00 AM - 6:00 AM
Silent Walking Meditation. We will walk the Portland boardwalk, bare-footed, and watch the sun rise.

6:30 AM - 8:30 AM
Pilates.

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Breakfast at McDonalds. I have arranged for our LOGO to be embossed on all Egg McMuffin sandwiches!

11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Pool-side. We will all lounge pool-side at the Hyatt Place Old Port Portland while sipping pina coladas. Speedos discouraged.

1:35 PM - 1:45 PM
All-You-Can-Eat-Lunch at Red Lobster.

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
BINGO! $10 Buy-in. Please be on time.

3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Automotive Clinic. How to convert your automatic to a manual transmission in under 30 minutes. Hosted by Unhingd.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Individual Nap Time

7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Dinner at Kentucky Fried Chicken. We will all caravan to the local KFC where we will have a 5-piece meal (please let me know beforehand if you prefer the 3-piece meal) delivered curbside as we eat in our cars.

10:00 PM - Midnight
Silent Meditation. Pool-side.

Three of us are meeting at 630AM at the Maryland House Rest Stop on I-95. I-95 Mile Marker 82 Aberdeen, MD 21001. Now for the others we will be traveling up the NJ Turnpike and you can join us enroute. As we get closer the timing for those that want to meet up in NJ we can flesh out based on travel time once we leave the Maryland House. That way perhaps as many as possible along the I-95 corridor can jump in to the convoy.

That individual nap time is looking particularly appealing, but I believe too much time has been allotted for the Auto Clinic. I will therefore follow up the session with a graduate level seminar in Continuous Fluid Flow Dynamics using uisge-beatha na h-Alba as the medium. This will then naturally transition into the napping session.
