Default April showers bring May flowers??

Not so much in Wisconsin!

So last week it was 58 degrees, sunny, roads had been rained on and dry for a couple days so I woke up the XKR from it's winter nap. Took it to the car wash and then made up a few reasons that I just had to drive around town. Plugged in some Def Leppard and Pink Floyd rolled down the windows and turned on the seat heater. I was for a brief time 16 again. Also got 3 thumbs up, two were directly related to my exhaust note as with the modifications it is intoxicating at anything approaching full throttle.

So what to do today?
Well XKR is out of the question so how about another Cat? How about another "R" ?

First up a 2010 Arctic Cat CFR1000... 1000cc's of pure twin cylinder two stroke silliness. The last of the 1000cc two stroke monsters. Who needs the ozone layer anyways?

Or maybe this one? 2013 Arctic Cat 800RRk. Besides everyone knows 2 "R"s are better than 1. You see the snow cross guys flying 20' in the air this is the shocks/suspension they land on. This sled can take a punch on the trail like no other I have ever ridden.

Oh bother decisions, decisions. So much for May flowers!

Yes, spring more or less. Mother nature is washing mine again and we are supposed to get 3-5" of snow Saturday. Cherry blossom weekend in DC too...

UTAH, "Greatest Snow on Earth".
It's 52 at 10 am, with a forecast high of 66 and mostly sunny today. Haven't had snow stick on the ground but twice this year and only once in December, each time was less than four inches and was gone within five days.
The Mountains got hammered, 100+ inch base on all the ski areas.

I'm 2 hours west of you 1 of 19 (is that a Borg reference btw?). I surrender. I've had enough winter. 10" of snow that ended last night. !0 day forecast doesn't make it out of the 30's.

1 of 19 has nothing to do with the Borg. In 1996 19 XJ12's were special ordered direct from the factory. I have one of these. I never thought of the "Borg" but it fits. Record low here this morning 7 degrees breaking the 1926 record of 10. Global warming is here to stay.

Took the cover off. Dusted the car off. Put the insurance back on. Forecast for the next couple of weeks calls for 30 - 40 deg weather, rain and snow. Bummer!
Hopefully I can find one day somewhere in there to wake it up and go for a ride.

Yep another foot or more. When I took mine out a couple weeks ago the ground was still firm with frost. Now I can't put it away as the ground is now soup and the garage is full. 9" of snow pictured above on my XKR. Tomorrow I'll show you what a foot + looks like. Grrrrrr Brrrrrr!

Hehe - you know as I wrote it, I thought "Cee Jay is going to rub it in".

Now they're hyping it up to 15". Thus far, only 4" and 20 mph sustained winds.

Four days ago it was over 100F in the San Fernando Valley and on the golf course. Two nights ago we had sustained winds of over 50mph, lost power for the night, and lost two trees in my yard. One of them, my ancient avocado tree lost a huge branch that impaled my newly installed putting green. Back to the 80F normalcy today and should be nice for next weekend's Queen's English Car Show where a bunch of us forum members meet and greet. I was really looking forward to this weekend as I was supposed to get my Pantera back yesterday, but alas, a few more hiccups with interior trim pieces, and maybe next weekend.

Funny thing.... I lived in Duluth for my entire youth. SO glad to be gone, forever.
