Default Looking for a fuel pump for a 2004 X V6 3.0

Looking for a fuel pump for my Jaguar. Most are $600 and up. Any info where I could get one that's reasonable? Thanks!

Try Rockauto.com. They have a Delphi pump for about $425

Thanks, somehow the top was cracked that goes on top of the fuel pump. Not finding this part. Not even sure of part name. Very little knowledge on cars.
Thanks

A picture would be helpful. It sounds as though youu are looking for the fue pump retaining ring. Can't be sure though without seeing what you see. Take a look at the tank parts diagram.

Crinkle: This post and subsequent posts in the thread have pictures of an X-Type fuel pump removed from the fuel tank.

The top of the fuel pump canister is very difficult to see without first dropping the fuel tank or cutting an access hole in the sheet metal under the right rear seat cushion above the fuel pump. Have you done this, and if 'yes', can you see and describe the location of the crack? Does the crack allow fuel to leak out when you turn on the ignition, which energizes the fuel pump to pressurize the fuel lines? Or does fuel leak only when the tank is full and you make a hard left turn or brake aggressively to a stop. The more you can describe this crack and the conditions that may cause a fuel leak, the better we can assist you.
