This may date me, but I always found "PlusGas" to be the best penetrating oil I have ever used. Followed by Penoil at a close second.

Yep, I guess it does date me!

When I have some stubborn screws ans nuts, I use 'Güsol', aeropsacegrade rust solvent. And it actually is a proper lubricant as well, unlike WD40.

I was amazed at the video, showing Aerokroil coming in at the bottom as it came from the Aviation industry. Similar to what you describe as, Gusol. Very interesting???
I also use "Marvel Mystery Oil" which came from I think the 1950's, It's claimed as more of a light Machine/general purpose lubricant. It works great as a penetrating oil. You just have to put it in a small pump oil can, also from the early days, which always falls over on the bench, and leaks all over the place. Perhaps this is why they went to spray cans for everything.
