Hi, am living in UK and looked in various places for info and found this site to be very informative. I have just aquired a 2006 X-type 2.2 diesel with 125k under its belt. Car is running on 18" 5 spoke alloys with 235 40 VR rubber. Car had lots of whines and knocks so was a bit dubious about buying it. However, I parted with cash and I proceded to buy 1 x rear bearing, a rear anti roll bar and a link rod. Also 2 x insulators for front and 2 new tyres, all balanced and realigned, I am now very pleased with what seems like a new(ish) ride. I also spent 2 solid weekends cutting and polishing the metalic blue paintwork, can't believe the depth of colour. Inside I scrubbed and cleaned black leather and suede upholstery. Very pleased with the high level spec as everything actually still works, given 6 previous owners and high degree of filthyness. I actually think the car had been used as a kiddies playroom (seriously)! Don't know what model it is but it has cruise control, big screen satnav, climate control, 6 disc CD, bluetooth phone, heated seats, electric heated screens, electric folding mirrors, self tinting rear view mirror, parking sensors, xenon lights. Lots to go wrong hence looking on here.

Ah just looked in obvious place (V5) to see model is x type sport D. Odd thing is it states engine cc as 2099, thought 2.2 was actually 2199? Variant UAG1 and version 5JJJ G any ideas?

Welcome to the forum,

A busy time sorting out the issues. Good to hear it's turned out to be a good buy.

I'd agree with you that 2.2 would be 2199 cc. Could simply be a DVLA typo. Not likely to be a problem unless you have a cherished registration where everything has to be exactly right on the documents or you risk losing the number in a subsequent transfer application.

Ask the question about variant / version on the X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section. The experts there should have the answer.

Graham
