Default Intro from New Member

Hi everyone I have owned a 1996 XJ6 since March of 2006. It has given me only a few minor problems with trunk wiring and limp mode once, but that is all except normal lubes and tires. I live in Canada so it is not winter driven. I am a longtime British car owner and maintainer and enjoy doing all my own servicing.

Regards to all,
Bob

Welcome to the forum Bob,

Six years with only minor problems. You have been blessed.

As you enjoy doing your own maintenance, I'm sure you'll find plenty of interest in the X300 section.

Thanks for the welcome, to let the truth be known I am now into the removal of the headliner to repair the moon roof which won't properly close. Still not sure what is up with that since removing the headliner and slacking all the bolts on the rail system it now closes again. I am not giving up any time soon though. The trunk wiring I have repaired twice, so that is not too bad giving te single core wire that is used.

Bob,

I've just seen your post about headliner removal in the Regional / Canada section.

It might not get a very quick response there. Better to have it in the section for your model. Your '96 is a late X300 6 cylinder? Please confirm and I can move your question to the right section.

Whilst on the subject of vehicle details, remember to add them to your Signature. This helps others to give relevant advice.

Welcome to the forum Bob,

Good to have you with us.
Hope you get the roof sorted out.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
